Can I replace the background graphic of XP's logon screen

There are tons of programs out that do this, like LogonLoader, StyleXP, etc, but I am worried that these program could make my XP less stable.

Is there a EASY, stable way to do this that doesn't require 35 steps and a resource editor?

Is there a program that has a very high probablility of NOT lowering the stability of my XP install?

Either way you look at it, you are taking a chance of destabilizing your XP because you are changing something that is not designed to be changed.  Wallpaper, screen savers, and even the Start button are changeable, but the initial bootup picture is supposed to stay the way it is.
i can personall attest to slink9 "the initial bootup picture is supposed to stay the way it is"  i unchecked it from boot.ini per a "tweek", the simplest thing ive ever done that required me to format and reinstall xp.

You can change the boot up flash pic on all versions, it can be done with the /noguiboot switch in XP, but you will also loose the background on XP, on 3.x, 95,98,98SE,and Me can all have the flash boot picuture changed, but I highly reccomend NOT doing this in XP.  Too risky
I was under the impression the question was about the logon screen background image, not the bootup logo...

What exactly is it that you want?

I am looking for the logon screen background image, not the boot up splash screen thing.   What do you think the stability issues are with changing the logon screen background image?   What is the safest way to do it.
