Stop: 0xA Error after power failure
My system has been working fine with no problem for 3 months. Then one day I was downloading a large file from internet, when there was a short power failure. Upon restart, Windows loads and instantly gets a blue screen error. A STOP: 0xA error from IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. When i try to restart i get the same error, even in safe mode.
I heve tryed the application "DocMemory RAM" to test my RAM and it passed. I have tryed to use the WinXP disc to recover and after i still get same error. I have read that the 4th pram in the error is the location, how do i tell where that is? How may i resolve this?
-------blue screen error-------
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Greetings!
You definitely have to run CHKDSK to fix a data integrity flaw.
Follow CrazyOne's suggestion regarding CHKDSK, as I don't believe a restore will be effective until that is done.
Hope this helps!
