I'm trying to install a handheld scanner device designed to work under DOS on a winxp system. The instructions say i have to add some lines to the autoexec.bat and config.sys.<br />
<br />
My question is, when does the .nt version of this files gets loaded in winxp? and, if i add the lines pointed out in the instructions to these files will it have the same effect as with the .bat versions???<br />

The scanner is a &nbsp;S Y M B O L &nbsp; S E R I E S &nbsp;3 0 0 0 model.<br />
