You have 2 Unread Messages

Hi,
my friend has a Windows XP Home Edition installed, and three user names, with a different email address on each account. All the email accounts are checked through outlook express.

I was deleting an fiddling around with the email account on one of their windows usernames. That username previously had 3 identities for each of the family members, but now they all have seperate windows accounts.

Anyway, I deleted all the seperate identities and had only one remaining. When the windows login screen comes up, it says that that particular user (who previously had the 3 identities) has 2 unread email messages from an identitiy which I deleted (obviously without clearing the messages first)

Now there are absolutely no messages for that user in outlook express. I have tried clearning ALL folders, I tried deleted all the identities through windows explorer and setting up a new one, but it still says that there is 2 unread messages.

How do I fix this up, so it realises that there are no messages?

THanks in advance

I don't want to disable it. I just want it to display the right value of emails.
Ok,
I had a look at the registry key from the site supplied and it works.
Oh,
I forgot to log out from my friends account. :-)
