How to Configure MSN Explorer for MSN Messenger??

Hi everybody......im Sheharyaar Saahil :)

actually i have a little confusion abt my msn explorer.....im using windows xp pro. and msn
explorer 7 with windows messenger 4.7 and msn messenger 6......means i have both windows n msn messenger(the one with a butterfly) on my system.....but one thing which is not getting into my brain is that......whenever i sign in with msn explorer it starts windows messenger to sign in instead of msn messenger......

first i thought that perhaps msn explorer works only with windows messenger.......but my
sister is using the same configuration on her laptop.....she has xp home with msn explorer 7
n windows messenger 4.7 with msn messenger 6........but when she signs in with msn explorer it starts msn messenger 6 instead of windows messenger!!

so i just can't understand that when this msn explorer starts msn messenger on my sister's
system......why it is starting windows messenger on mine......

and as im a regular user of msn messenger.....i don't want to use windows messenger with my msn explorer......i want msn explorer to start msn messnger to sign in, instead of signing in with windows messenger.......i tried to install the latest version of windows messenegr, that is WINDOWS MESSENGER 5.....but after installing this version......msn explorer didn't start the windows messenger even :(
i think that msn explorer 7 doesn't support this new version of windows messener.......so i repalced the new version with the old version again.....and again msn explorer starts this stupind windows messneger >:(

so plzz if anybody have any idea or know abt. any command that can change msn explorer settings.......plzz do tell me........coz after so many search on google n all the net.......im just unable to find any solution to this problem.......:(
so there is only one way left 4 me.......and that is "EXPERTS-EXCHANGE" :)
hope u will try to help me out......
thanx in advance......have a good day.....Good Bye :)

Thanx LeeTutor.......but i have already read these articles......and even tried every thing written in these articles......
i disabled windows mesenger....but then msn explorer don't sign in with any of the messenger......it doesn't start msn messenger in any way :(
Here's some info I found at the MSN Messenger help site:

http://help.msn.com/EN_US/HelpWindow_msg.asp?INI=Messengerv60XP.ini&H_VER=1.7

About having two Messenger programs on your computer
Windows XP comes with Windows Messenger, which remains available even after MSN Messenger 6.0 is installed on your computer. Here are some things to keep in mind:

MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger can run at the same time, but only one will start automatically. You can start the other program from your list of programs (in Windows, click the Start button, point to All Programs, and then click the program you want to start).
In most cases, MSN Messenger will start automatically whenever you start Windows, unless you turn off this setting in your Messenger options. However, if you have set up Windows Messenger for corporate instant messaging and to start automatically when you start Windows, then it will continue in this manner and MSN Messenger will not start automatically.
You can be signed in to both MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger at the same time, but not with the same .NET Passport account. For instance, you can sign in to MSN Messenger with your Passport and then sign in to Windows Messenger with a different Passport account or with your corporate instant messaging account.
When both programs are running, you will see icons for each in your Windows taskbar (near your computer's clock). You can tell them apart by pointing to them with your mouse. When you point to an icon, a message appears telling you which program it is.
If you are signed in to one Messenger program with your Passport and then sign in to the other one using the same account, you will be automatically signed out of the first program.
Only Windows Messenger can connect to the Communications Service and Exchange Instant Messaging, which are only used in corporations.
Some programs, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, and Remote Assistance, connect to Windows Messenger by default. When you are signed in to MSN Messenger, you may appear offline to people who connect to these programs and have you listed as a contact.
LeeTutor.......thanx for all ur time......:)
but sorry to tell that that all the information which u have given is already known to me....:(

i alos have visited this page early......but there is not any information abt msn explorer configuration......

i know everything abt msn messnger and windows messenger......i already know how they work n how to keep them separate or work with both at the same time.......

my question is that......i just want to know how this msn explorer works......??
coz if msn explorer can start msn messngerin my siter's laptop.......why it is starting windows messenger.......means there must be some configuraon or command or registry edition.......which can force msn explorer to start msn messenger instead of windows messnger.....!!
i tried to remove the windows messenger also......but then msn explorer starts without any messenger.......means i can browse, can check my e-mail and can perform other tasks but i cant't sign in using msn explorer if i remove windows messenger from my system......!!

it seems msn explorer is set like this that whenever i start it........it searches for the windows messenger and start it.......otherwise i have to work without messenger service......i have even checked my registry entries.......but didn't get much idea abt. how to change the default settings of msn explorer :(

plzzzzz somone tell me abt. how to configure msn explorer to work with msn messenger??
Soooooooooooo at last i have found the solution to my problem.......:D

i tried my level best to find any idea abt this problem but in vain....i was just unable to find anything which could help to sort out this probelm....so yesterday i just decided to quit my question and will never use MSN Explorer....but u can say that ALLAH wanted to help me....that's why i just got the idea to check the versions of my msn explorer and my sister's msn explorer.....so i noted down all the version information of my msn explorer and my sister's msn explorer and when i matched them....my sister's msn explorer was updated n for mine there was an update available......so i just updated my msn explorer and that WORKED!!

& finally msn explorer has started using msn messenger instead of using windows messenger for the instant messenging service.......:)
So Bye for Now & HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
