XP still remembers deleted user profile
I've reinstalled XP a couple of times and I must have some references to some old user profiles lurking in the registry. I am getting duplicate cookies for both my current profile and an old one I use to use. I can remember editing the user profile registry settings for the old one as per a Microsoft article a while ago, but of course cant find it now
I'd like to clean out the cobwebs, any help would be appreciated
Cheers
Dave

Thanks for the links
I've deleted the old profile using the assistance you gave me but when I run Window Washer I still lose my automatic logon to the site even though the cookie xxx@experts-exchange[1].tx t. When I had my old cookie present with my old profile name yyy@experts-exchange[1].tx t the automatic logon worked.
I figured if I cleansed the old profile off my system then my cookie settings would work again
Any ideas?
Thanks
Dave

I'm not real sure I understand the cookie question. When you deleted your profile you deleted all the information under %systemroot%\Documents and Settings\UserProfile...so actually none of your cookies would exist.
Did you for get your password to log onto this and other sites? If yes then on most sites there is an option to request that the site email your password. Have you tried that?

Press the WinKey and the Pause/Break Key on your key board
Click on the Advanced Tab
Click on the Settings Button under User Profiles
You can delete what ever profiles you don't want, from this dialog box.
