How do I convert NTFS to FAT32 file system using windows XP?

go to the  control panel


then to the computer mgmt

choose disk mgmt there........

and here u can........change ur drive from ntfs to fat32.vice versa..............

or u can use partion magic for that..........

There is no built-in XP utility to convert NTFS to FAT32 like there is a for converting FAT32 to NTFS.

yeah i agree CO, actually i was a little bit ill yesterday, and still not feeling Full Fine, but my problem is that i just can't keep myslef away from this computer :-)

I have the new version Windows XP Home Edition with the Media Center 2005 Component.  I just purchased a brand new computer.  I noticed my 250GB hard drive was formatted in FAT32 and was seriously considering converting it to the NTFS filing system.  I'm told it would imporove the efficiency of my computer and help it run faster.  Maybe it's just me, but it seems to me a very important decision to make and I'm afraid it would have unexpected changes to my system.  Is this safe? and would it indeed improve the performance of my PC?
