windows xp sp2 is killing my system

i upgraded to sp2 beta last night on my home pc and now as soon as the desktop loads it restarts the pc. i can get into safe-mode but i cannot go to the control panel and remove the service pack as the readme says i should, because the service pack is not listed in the add/remove list like it is suppose to.  any information would be wonderful regarding a solution. also when in safe mode i can log in as the administrator fine but when i log in as a user it simply loads but with an error. "MarkFun_Load_NT_Driver"
i have not been on the internet on that pc for about 3 weeks and i have zone alarm running when i do as well as up to date norton antivirus and windows updates. i ran stinger and sasser removals, no virus there. any information would be highly appreciated.

Do you have EasyTune application installed? Try uninstalling it in safe mode if you do.

ASKER

i tried running the restore twice already and it won't go back to service pack 1. also i still can't boot normal. now it makes it to the login before it reboots instead of the desktop.
ok in safemode, login as Administartor, adn create a new user, after that try logging in that user, post back the results !!
alright sheharyaar,  i tried that and still nothing. i can't even make it too the login screen. my guess is that somehow it corrupted something in the boot sequence. it said failure on the recovery again also. i think im just going to go in safe mode, start backing up, and reformat.
:-\

Im sorry to hear that but sometimes it happens !!!!!
plzz feel easy to ask or tell anything if u want, im sitting right here :)

!! GOOD LUCK !!
