try installing a northwood processor if you have one handy..<br />

Go ctrl alt del and click 'new task' type in explorer and click ok. This should make your desktop come up. After that create a new user with admin rights or check the the user you use has admin rights.

XP boots up, but it hangs on the wall paper window. &nbsp;You can do Alt+Control+Delete and log out, but that is it. &nbsp;It does have plenty or disk pace. &nbsp;It happened after the SP2 for xp installation.
