xp crash after sp2 installation

XP boots up, but it hangs on the wall paper window.  You can do Alt+Control+Delete and log out, but that is it.  It does have plenty or disk pace.  It happened after the SP2 for xp installation.

Then boot to Safe Mode and go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Promgrams and uninstall SP2

Go ctrl alt del and click 'new task' type in explorer and click ok. This should make your desktop come up. After that create a new user with admin rights or check the the user you use has admin rights.
