Offline folder synchronization is trying to connect to server that no longer exist.
We use offline folder synchronization in my company in case a server were to temporarily go down. We had a server go down that we ended up replacing. A new server was installed and the data was copied over. The win XP machines were then configured to synchronize with the new server. When the XP systems log on and off now they are synchronizing with the new system, but they continue to try synchronize with the old server as well. How can I fix this problem?
Open My Computer->Tools->Syncroniz e and uncheck the previous server.
Remove the folders from the Synchronization?
Start menu, accessories, synchronizatio n, setup button,un-check the ones you do not want to synchronize anymore. Make sure to delete scheduled tasks that synchronize to the old server...on the client side...
If that doesn't work the clients can re-initialize their synchronized floders DB, losing all data, it is almost similar to formatting a drive, then they can re-synchronize their data back from the new servers...or you could back up everything first, then do it...
