Corrupted Fonts
Recently, i deleted some fonts in My fonts folder which contains approximately 1600+ fonts...but after a reboot..my system displayed weird fonts in Opera browser..and many more applications installed in my PC including Photoshop CS..so, i recopied the fonts i deleted earlier (i made a backup before that) in the same folder in the control panel..but nothing happens even after many reboots..after searching the internet for answers, i found out that:
1- i should not have too much fonts in my system..
2- i make a mistake of deleting critical system fonts, and my system wont accept the reinstallation of the deleted fonts.. and it has something to do with the registry ..
so, how could i fix this problem? where can i get all of the original Windows XP fonts? from the CD?then,how do i extract it in the easiest and quickest way as possible? what about the registry? i dont want to reinstall my system..i have no time for that...i want to do my work~! HELP ME

Put your deleted fonts back in the Fonts folder...... and then do a System Restore to roll back the system to the time before you deleted the fonts..... it will restore the registry which has been corrupted now!

its way too late to do a system restore

i juz need my registry to associate the approproate fonts for the right programs and appz..please..almost done....i think?

i didn't get the meaning...... why its too late ??
Second you cannot reassociate the fonts back to default ones..... either you will need to import the registries from another working xp system OR have to do the repair install as Systm said above!

its too late bcoz it happens about 3 weeks a go..i dont want to restore my system to the state of that 3 weeks a go..ive installed quite a few new games (prince of persia 3 and chronicles of riddick...) and apps i downloaded form the internet...

yesterday, i copied the font and fontsubstitute keys in the registry from a working windows XP of my dad's PC together with its fonts in the fonts folder in the control panel..and installed it in my problematic PC...but before that ive deleted the font and fontsubstitute ke in my registry and its fonts so that it can be replaced by the thing that ive just copied from my dad's PC..but still it wouldnt work~! please help me

if you dont want to go back then run a repair install.... it will not delete your installed programs...... and will replace the missing fonts!
At first boot win should fix itself.
