Locked Out Of "My Documents"

I recently reloaded Win Xp Pro from scratch. My data, including "My Documents", is on a different partition of the drive. I did a Ghost image of my entire drive before the reload. After reloading XP, I can not open the "My Documents" directory. I get "Access Denied". There are 3 users on the PC. I created a user password at the Welcome screen and the option to keep my information private set when I created the user P/W. Thanks for your help.

As long as you're an administrator, you can take ownership of the files.

Hope this helps!

Thanks CodeK,
Your link provided the answer with some modification. The key was to boot-up in SAFE mode as the Administrator and THEN take/replace ownership of the directory and all subs and objects. I was not able to do so before as "Bartender 1" suggested.

Thanks, Rich

I'll have to remember to specify that in my post next time. I thought it being mentioned in the link would have been sufficient.

Either way, I'm glad you got your difficulty corrected.

Cheers!
