BSOD: MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS

Hello all,

I have a strange problem. I receive a BSOD very often in my computer after deactivating automatic reboot on my Windows XP SP2. This is the error:

Stop: 0x00000044 (0x812790e8, 0x00000cca, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
Multiple_IRP_Complete_Requests

This happens, overall, when I have emule running (I don't know if emule is the problem but I changed emule from version 5 times). The error occurs more often when I'm playing some game.

Since this error came to my life, 2 months ago, I have changed the motherboard, memory (tested with memtest86), the graphic card even the printer. I have read a lot of in Internet and this error is very announced but none gives a solution to it. I'm going crazy.

My conf is:

AMD Athlon XP 2400+
MB QDI K7V600 with BIOS 1.5SLCP
ATI RADEON 9660 256 MB
2 DIMMs 512 MB e/o DDR400
HP 7760 connected via USB

I have information on my dump files and have run a dumpchk from Windows XP Support Tools but I haven't seen anything strange.

Any help, clue... something?

Thanks a lot,

SH

The crash may be caused by faulty ram. When Windows crashes with blue screen, it writes a system event 1001 or 1003 and a minidump to the folder \windows\minidump. Check system event 1001 and 1003 and it has the content of the blue screen.

Event ID: 1001
Source: Save Dump
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.The bugcheck was : 0xc000000a (0xe1270188, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804032100).
Microsoft Windows..... A dump was saved in: .......

Event Source: System Error
Event Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Description:
Error code 1000007f, parameter1 0000000d, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000

Control Panel -> Adminstrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> System -> Event 1001/1003. Copy the content and paste it back here

Zip 5 to 6 minidumps to a zip file and attach it at any webspace. I will study the dump and find out the culprit.

I've zipped some Minidump files from these days. You can download at http://www.serverhack.com/Minidump.zip

I've done some things since the problem started:

- MBM5 indicates no problem in temperature
- I've changed the virtual memory from C drive to D drive (same error)

Let's see if you can see more than me, sure!!!

Thanks,

SH
Excuse me, the above download doesn't work.

Try on http://www.imaggina.com/~jorge/Minidump.zip

Thanks,

SH
4 minidumps crashed with bugcheck 44, 1 with bugcheck 50 and 1 with bugcheck 50. Most of the running process is Fahrenheit.exe. Probably it is device driver error of ATI or hardware error of the display card.

Suggestion
1. I find a similar hit and the solution is upgrade ATI display card driver.
http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic27452.html (problem owner  Kygoo82)
Your ATI version is l Fri Aug 20 06:39:00 2004 (41252C04) which is exactly the same as the above case

2. If your windows still crashes, reseat Video card. Clean the dust within the computer case. Make sure the video card is noy overheat.

HI,

I changed driver from my ATI one month ago, now I have version 8.172.0.0, 08/30/2005, of the driver but it's seems, watching the dump, it's doesn't updated if the right way.

I'll try to change it again,  and I will inform you.

Thanks,

SH
version 8.172.0.0 (08/30/2005) has software problem and refer to the last comment of the following case. The solution use omega drive.

Hi cpc2004,

watching i was using the latest ati drivers I have tested my RAM again with memtest86 and I've noticed computer switchs off around 74% passed tests. I have changed one of my DIMM installing  another 512 DDR 266 and I'm waiting if it fails again. Testing this new configuration is OK.

You're right, most of the cases I was running Fahrenheit, but there's a lot of cases I'm only running emule and it crashed anyway. I'm waiting if it crashes with the DIMM changed.

In addition I will install Omega drivers for my ATI if I see changing RAM is not the solution. I'll keep you informed.

Thanks,

SH
Hi,

I think the problem was one of the 512 MB DIMM memory I was using. 2 Weeks ago, as I said to you, I changed one of my stick and installed one from other computer and It hasn't fail since then.

Thanks a lot for your help. It's a pleasure.
