I get the following error when I start up (sometimes):
-> Data Execution Prevention
->
-> To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program.
-> Name: Services and Controller App
-> Publisher: Microsoft
When I dont get the above error at start up, i get the following error after a couple of minutes.
-> services.exe Application error
->
-> The instruction at "0x0069bc76" refereced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be written.
follewed imediately by this message:
-> The system is shutting down (it has a countdown from 1 minute)
-> bla bla bla, this shut down was initiated by NT Authority\System
-> The system process \services.exe terminated unexpectadly, reference 1073741674
It is probably spyware still, i know, got it last night and used Stinger, Ad Aware and Hijack This to sort it out, and all those programs sceme it is running well now.
What do i do?

>Are you by chance using, or have used Zone Alarm?
Nope
>c:\windows\system32\servi
There is no c:\windows\services.exe
>I'd suggest turning of DEP totally by modifying the Boot.ini file, and then changng the /noexecute policy level to alwaysoff.
I dont know if i really want to turn it off. Dont know too much about about it, but sure it helps protect my PC. Doesnt it?

Microsoft Windows XP is the sixth release of the NT series of operating systems, and was the first to be marketed in a variety of editions: XP Home and XP Professional, designed for business and power users. The advanced features in XP Professional are generally disabled in Home Edition, but are there and can be activated. There were two 64-bit editions, an embedded edition and a tablet edition.
