Unable to uninstall IE7 per MS instructions.
I upgraded to IE7 and (all harsh judgements aside) decided to go back to IE6 for now. i followed microsofts instructions (www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx). when i try to run ie6setup.exe i get a message that there's a newer version installed and setup cannot continue. i've run 'registry mechanic' and 'norton's windoctor' to clean up the registry but still get the same message. anyone able to point me in the right direction? thanks. Mark

To reinstall only the Internet Explorer 6 browser component on Windows XP, use the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR
Change the value data from 1 to 0, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor, and then install Internet Explorer 6.
The full procedures are listed here. Please scroll down to the section entitled:
Windows XP and Windows XP SP1: Edit the registry and install Internet Explorer 6

I've used this procedure and it does work.
What does not work is attempting to uninstall IE through Add/Remove programs.
