URGENT HELP PLEASE - Remote web workplace not showing local printers

Hi

We have a user who is currently in spain using rww (from laptop) to connect to her desktop in the uk office

The problem is they urgently need to print some documents from the UK desktop to the local printer attached to laptop in spain but only the local "microsoft office document image writer" is showing

How in the hell do we get it to print to the hp printer that is connected directly to the laptop using  usb?

Thanks in advance

HI

I have tried this but problem is the hp psc1315 doesnt come with drivers that I can manually install,

The installer waits for  you to plug in the usb before it will put the drivers in the right location. There are tons of ini files if you extract the driver package but none of them flag up as being 1315 drivers if you do it manually.

Any othe suggestions as to what I can do?

THanks for the input so far
i mean tons of inf files
If I quite remember it's a Multifunctional Printer right ?

You have to full install the software and ONLY AFTER insert the USB Plug.

( Yes, you read correctly "The FULL INSTALL ". )

Best Regards !
No what I mean is that the printer is in spain and the computer I need to install the driver on is in UK.

THe printer works fine on the remote machine the pproblem is it is not recognised on the host machine.

How can I find out which files I need to be able to insstall the printer manually and how do I get to those files
Check the Drivers Properties Page on the Device Manager !

Best Regards!
HI mcp_jon

That doesnt help

What I mean is that the driver package for this printer comes as an .exe file which then extracts a tone of files to the C:\temp folder

This includes various setup, inf and other files. None of these appear to be the inf file for the printer driver.

The installer package doesnt install the driver because the package is a multi printer driver package and it waits to detect your actual model before choosing the right drivers. I cant plug in the printer because its in spain. Thus, there is no way fpr me to get the printer installed from the cd.

Is there any way of telling where the files might be / if they are archived? This way i can manually install the printer.

THanks again
Yes, go to the Printers and Faxes Settings and click the printer you want, then go to the last tab "About" ! There is sais all *.dll used by that printer.

Hope this helped you out !

Best Regards !
