asked on

windows 2003 multiple domain

Dear Sir,

The following are the infrastructure.

Domain - A

host name : trans
fully qualified domain name : trans.realteam.local
DNS : On the same host

Domain - B

host name  : busi
full qualified domain name : busi.server.local
DNS : On the same host

My question is

What should i do for showing both the server name in the logon screen of the windows xp workstation?

I tried to joined the first domain ie tran.realteam.local
then I tried to joined to the secod domin...ie busi.server.local

But from the Windows XP workstation logon screen, it doesn't shows both the domain name?

What could be the problem?

regards,

So if i create a trust...will it show the both domain in the windows xp logon screen?
Yes; you can then logon with accounts from either domain.

will it show the both the domain name in the windows xp logon screen?  From your previous reply i understood that the users of the both the domain can logon.

But will the user get the option of both the two domain in the Windows XP logon screen?
Yes; with a two-way trust, both domains will appear on each domain member.
