Remote Desktop connection error

Hello

I have a Windows 2003 server with TSL installed.
I am the member of remote desktop user group and in group policy, I have rights to both log in locally and through terminal services.

When I try to log in using remote desktop through my windows xp machine I get two error messages and I can not log in.

"The desktop you are trying to open is currently available only to administrators; contact your administrator to confirm that the correct settings are in place for your client connection."

Followed by:

To log on to this remote computer, you must have Terminal Server User Access Permissions on this computer. By default, members of the Remote Desktop group have these permissions. If you are not a member of the Remote Desktop Users group or another group that has these permissions, or if the Remote Desktop User group does not have these permissions, you must be granted these permissions manually

The user administrator can log in fine but I don't want any user to be the member of administrator group.

I get the same messages when I try to log in through citrix as well.

Please help.

I have installed proper license for both TSL and Citrix presentation server.

Thank you so much

are you using per user or per device licensing?
Verify that all Ts servers are set to PER-USER licensing...  (admin tools --> TS configuration --> RDP settings)

Verify that your TS License server has PER-USER Licenses....

Also try to connect via IP address rather then name...

Did you say that this only happens on one machine...and other machines work fine?  Try to logon to the console from this problematic client:

Start --> Run --> mstsc.exe /v:tsservernamehere /console  or mstsc.exe /v:xx.xx.xx.xx /console

OK I tried both commands, the server name ends with error message

saying that name not being corrcet then I tried the IP address and it takes me to the remote desktop login and i end with the same error messages as before.

Just to let you know, since i was searching all over the internet, citrix site says that i should uncheck the option under RDP-TCP  ( citrix connection configuration ) for "Only Lauch published applications"

after doing so, i was able to connect ( with my user who is not in the admin group but has log on locally and through terminal services and also the member of remote desktop user group permissions)

but it's very slow connection and I still can not log in through ICA and end up with the first message only this time.

Thanks
ah... I think then this is a citrix related problem rather then RDP...
