I am trying to restore a mid-70's Honda Odessey go cart that has a 250cc , recoil start engine. No battery.
There are two wires coming from inside the engine, a black one and a yellow one (I assume they are from the generator). And I'm assuming the black wire is ground?
In order to complete the circuits, would the yellow wire first go to the coil, then the lights and kill switch, and the black wire serve as a ground? Secondly, is the correct way of killing the engine by grounding the wire from the coil?
I have not been able to Google any kind of documentation for these specific questions.
Thank you
