What is this Electronic component?

What is this electronic component called?
is it a potentiometer? where can i find a replacement one,

I pulled this off of a old stereo, this is the volume know thing,

to me it seems likea  potentiometer,

but the 4 pins throw me off, it is a dual one, of the wiper for the left audio and the otehr half for the right.
it is totally broken, so i need to find a replacement
