AutoCab Software and PDA (HTC P3470)

Hi,

A client of mine has some custom software (http://www.autocab.com/) which is a dispatch service for taxi/cab company's.

i was just wondering if anyone has used AutoCab before, Specifically with a PDA, the HTC P3470, my problem is the PDA needed a hard reset, the auto cab software was on a MicroSD card, so i removed the card before carrying out the reset to ensure the data would stay in-tact.

now the pda has loaded back up to windows mobile has standard, and i need to install the auto cab software, i've tried just about every file in the SD card with no luck, i realise the obvious answer is to contact tech support at autocab, but they aren't available until tomorow by the looks of it (despite they're site claiming they have 24/7 tech support)

i know this is a longshot, but wondered if anyone has any suggestions?

If you installed to the SD card then you've probably retained any settings you had in the program but you'll need to reinstall the program anyway.  Windows Mobile has a registry just like a desktop version and it was wiped clean with your hard reset.

You can move the program folder where the original install was done to a temporary location, reinstall, then overwrite the install with the old folder and you should be back up and running.

Unfortunately it wasn't the case, after speaking with the company apparently they program the phones themselves to the particular reciever, and as such. have to be sent back for customization with the correct account etc.

unfortunate! but solved.
