Question

business visa to US

Asked by: Delphi_developer

Hi

I own a small company and for the purpose of new project, me and two of my coworkers are going to apply for business visa to US, so we can do some business there - meetings and so on...

As an employer I need to prepare "Employer's letter" for them, explaining the purpose of travel, the activities, that I'll cover their expenses and other details... now, I don't know what kind of document I need for myself, since I'm an employer and employee.

Was anybody in the same situation and what sort of document should I prepare?

Thank you

Hi Delphi_developer,

You need to present a portfolio stating your company's work and goals, along with Tax returns (This is very important).

Basically you have to prove non immigrant intentions.
They will surely ask you for your clients in US (if you dont , then who are you planning to talk with)

Below is a real good resoure for US visa info, Post your question there and Immigration experts will help you out.

Maybe this information will help you:

Business Visa - List of required Documents                                                                                   Based on the new process, applicable from Oct 3rd 2005, following is a list of documents, applicants needs to carry at the time of visa interview.

Documents must to carry for interview:                                                                         Completed Non-immigration Visa application form DS-156. Separate form for each applicant.
   [Form filing Guidelines-help | Sample Form DS-156 ]

Completed form DS-157, [ONLY required for for all male nonimmigrant visa applicants between the ages of 16 and 45, Except New Delhi US consulate].
Note: Every applicant applying at US embassy new Delhi need to fill this form irrespective of the age. (Separate form for each visitor)

Each applicant, including children of any age, must                              possess an individual passport valid for travel to                              the United States with a validity date at least six                            months beyond the intended period of stay.
Two photographs 2 and 2 inches square (50 mm square)                              for each applicant, showing full face, without head                              covering, against a light background. To be used in                              the application Form.
US consulates are very particular about the Photographs                                specification.
Must follow these guidelines for photographs.
Check                                out the Guidelines for Photographs required for                                US visa.
Tip : Always keep some extra photos with you.

Bring all documents about                                   company's market and financial position with financial                                  records, sources of funds, Tax papers and any News                                  paper/press coverage or Advertisement brochures about                                the company.
If applicant is going to attend any business/educational/ commercial or professional seminar or conference you must have the event registration proof, letter of invitation, brochure of event , any printed/media/website printout having reference to this event.

(Note: Carry all Originals for interview.
Except the visa fee, most of the other documents will be given back after the interview.)

Thank you, for your suggestions, but I go no closer to the solution as I was before.

I read tens of different description of visa applications procedures, but none answers my question. They all give clues, but this is not what I was asking for.

Points awarded for trying.
