brm123: Not independent but decreasingly dependent. The additional voltage required to generate hydrogen gas at two atmospheres is 0.017 volts. Since it is logarithmic, you can double the pressure for another 0.017 volts.

Are these equations essentially correct where X = the pressure of Gas, in a closed container, created at two atmospheres and Y = the energy required to initiate the reaction?

2X = (1 * .017v) + Y
4X = (2 * .017v) + Y
8X = (3 * .017v) + Y
16X = (4 * .017v) + Y
32X = (5 * .017v) + Y
