Browse All TopicsHi All,
I'm terrible with maths but I'm trying to code an excel macro that will make numbers grow in size, much like a web 2.0 tag cloud.
Please find attached file for a visual example. I'm looking for the formula to produce such results.
Take note I wish for font size to be between 10 and 16 px.
Thank you!
Gary

Easy non flexible way (no duplicates, sort descending):
Sub IncreaseTextSize()
' change text size depending on values in range
Dim rng As range, cl As range
Dim dblMin As Double, dblMax As Double, lngCountCells As Long
Dim i As Long
Set rng = selection
dblMin = application.WorksheetFunct
dblMax = application.WorksheetFunct
lngCountCells = rng.Cells.Count
i = 0
For Each cl In rng.Cells
'cl.Font.Size = 10 + 6 * (cl.Value - dblMin) / (dblMax - dblMin)
cl.Font.Size = 16 - i * 6 / lngCountCells
i = i + 1
Next
End Sub
