There is no need.

When you use a program such as Nero, it automatically converts the mp3 tracks to .cda so they are playable in CD players / DVD players etc.

I use musicmatch and it will burn the mp3 files to cda automatically for you. Very cool.  Check it out at www.musicmatch.com

if you are using a newer version of WinAmp to play your MP3s, it contains a WinAmp plug-in (Nullsoft Disc-Writer) which can create a WAV file of any MP3 file! This WAV file you can burn onto CD with your favourite CD writer program.

By the way:
If you want to burn ShoutCast Radio onto CD there is a WinAmp Plugin (StreamRipper) which can rip MP3 stream to MP3. Then you can use the procedure above...
