The Solution Rating System

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. my computer keeps shutting down and restarting.. message

im having a problem with my pc. whenever i go online (i use verizon dsl and run windows xp) i get a message telling me the system will shutdown and restart in 1 minute. it took me awhile to copy this message because it only gives me a minute and i couldn't copy and paste it, but here it is:

-1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart

it sometimes comes on as soon as i sign on or try to, sometimes it gives me a few minutes and if im lucky like today i get a half hour to an hour before it comes on. its driving me crazy, i cant go online anymore. i dont know if its going to come on any minute, so i hope i can finish my question.
 
if i take a while to get back, its because the computer wont let me stay on long enough to respond, but i will try to go on another computer if possible to respond back. i apologize ahead of time for that. any comments are appreciated.
