Video system for Daycare

I have a client asking me about a video system for the daycare at their school.  Of course I'm looking at IP based cameras, thinking of storage space for the recorded video, etc.  I'm sure there will be bandwidth limitations and considerations, but mostly, I'm looking for sounding boards.

Can I get some feedback and suggestions, etc for this sort of system?

I'd appreciate any and all feedback and thoughts on making something like this happen.
