Time Jumping Backwards

I have a Windows XP SP2 machine.

I have been experiencing time jumps that appear to be random as to when they occur, but always jump backwards.

The computer can be either ON or OFF when this happens. Sometimes, the automatic synchronize will fix this, but sometimes not.

I am considering finding a BIOS update now.
