Working on a limited budget and need cheap solutions. Prefer already developed system, don't want PHP code to add to developed website.
I have looked at http://www.novosolutions.c
and http://www.talisma.com/tal
These two seem to have what I require but I wanted other cheaper options.
To assist with your pricing the one from Talisma is about AUD$10,000 so I would like it below that amount.

Hello Venabili,
I was searching for information on knowledgebase software products using the EE search and i found some interesting links so I wanted to share the word about knowledgebase software that is being used by our company. There were no intentions to promote that product in any way. It was just a help to fellow EE friends so that they can benefit from our experience with that product.
Good Luck,

I'm a fan of DotNetNuke (www.dotnetnuke.com), which is an open source ($0) content management system. The document support that's built in might not be as elegant as you would like, so you might want to look at some of the add on modules. It can certainly handle the 1000s of documents, but I'd suggest looking at how they are categorized, searched, and displayed. It has the built in concept of different categories of users, and who can see what.
