The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. anyone an expert at TV-VCR combos?

I have a used 19 inch Zenith TV with built in VCR. The person I got it from said the TV worked fine but the VCR did not. I assumed the TV and VCR worked independent of each other. I turned it on and I see-hear one of the VCR spindles turning and within a few seconds the unit turns off. I can't get it to stay on long enough to see if it does have a good TV picture.

I have googled Zenith and gotten a phone number for 24/7 support. I have not called them yet.

Looking to see if anyone in here might have eperience with a similar model. It seems like the TV would turn on by itself and then if you wanted to record something you could turn on the VCR. When I turn this unit on, I can tell the TV is on, but also the VCR is trying to work because I can see a spindle turning. It cuts itself off after less than 10 seconds. There is no remote. No instructions. All I wanted it for was the TV. Model SLV1340S
