General Position Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the company computer systems including hardware, software, computer and user accounts, e-mail, printers, network system maintenance, backing up of server computer, and virus protection. In addition, this position is required to support the company phone system.
Essential Job Functions
Management Information System
" Evaluates and plans for upgrades, updates, and fixes of companys information system.
" Performs network configuration as required.
" Monitors the company network for anomalies such as viruses and spam.
" Researches and tracks the information system anomalies.
" Performs desktop support including computer, software, e-mail, printers, phone systems and user assistance.
" Performs the installation of both hardware and software.
" Responsible for backing up the company information system.
" Responsible for managing user accounts.
" Researches and recommends certain upgrade of the information system.
" Communicates with internet service provider and other IT vendors as required.
" Creates and maintains databases as needed.
" Scans and maintains products films/documents onto the database.
" Designs and coordinates office layout, phone system, and electrical/computer system.
Other & Miscellaneous
" Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
" May provide back-up and assistance to others as needed.
" Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors
" Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
" Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.
" Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members and outside contacts.
" Complies with all company policies and procedures.
" Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
