The Solution Rating System

Hair care question

Stop laughing, this is a big deal for me. It's actually not exactly about my hair. It's about my beard.

It's really, really, really, thick.

Not thick as in density of the hairs, but thick as in each hair is thick, and pretty stiff. It actually feels a lot like steel wool--I could totally scrub pots with my face.

I *don't* want to shave it off, but I'd like to make it softer. People have said that it gets softer the longer it grows, but that absolutely does not happen for me. People have also suggested using conditioner, but I'd have no idea what type or anything like that, or if it would work.
