The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Need help choosing a new career and/or certification.

For the last 10 years, I've been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which has been devastating to me physically, emotionally and financially.  I really need to get a job, but I need something that pays at least $20/hour because I can only work part time.

I would appreciate suggestions as to whether I should go after a certification, an associates degree in a new field(i.e. health), or a Master's degree. It's going to be difficult with my health problems.....before I could study 'til I dropped, now I "crash" after 4-6 hours of work, whether it be mental or physical.

Just before I got sick I took a 7 month vocational course in 1996  entitled " microcomputer network support technician". It consisted of 3 modules: electronics, computer assembly and repair, and Novell Netware 3.1, I believe.  It was kind of a botched up affair as the teacher for the computer module quit and the electronics teacher took over. The Novell teacher shoved the materials down our throats, and I never once set up a network.

After graduation, instead of going for my A+ Certification, and then MCSE, I went to work as a help desk technician for a major pharmacy chain, supporting hardware and software issues for the front store and pharmacy.  That's when I got sick.

Prior education consisted of a B.A. in Music, emphasis in piano, post-graduate courses in computer programming...Assembly, Basic and Cobol.  I have forgotten most of the programming.

I worked most of my life running the office of my family business, which was sold in 1994.

Without posting my actual resume, I would really appreciate suggestions. Thanks in advance.
