nView Desktop - force windows to open on display x?

I've got an Nvidia GForce FX 5200 video card with the Nvidia ForceWare 175.19 software installed.  Two monitiors in "Dualview" configuration.  In "nView Properties," on the "Windows" tab, in the "Open windows on" field, I have "Display 2" selected.  However, if I open an application on Display 2, then move it to Display 1 and close it, when I reopen the application it opens on Display 1--the last display on which it was open.  Isn't there a way to disable this "memory" and force apps to ALWAYS open on a specific display regardless of which display they were last open on?  It seems like it should be simple, but I'll be darned if I can figure it out in the nView software.

p.s. -- I'm not interested in suggestions to use other/additional monitor management utilities.

It can't be done with the nView software.
Try to check the application for its .ini (config) file and check if there are startup position parameters in there.

Download and install www.ultrmon.com
Once installed, you can bring up properties of your program short cut. there will be an ultrmon tab where you can configure where the program will appear on which desktop when you execute it.

I have used the program for years and have been very happy with it. However, the Vista version has been in beta for 2 years. Even so, the company still releases new betas and I have been using the later ones without a problem for a while now. The forum support is also excellent.

It is a tool i use frequently for dual monitors and after you learn to use its other features, you will find the $40 price most reasonable.

Windows will not "remember" the setting if application that is closed is not in full screen. So before closing application just exit full screen and it will always open on primary display.
Otherwise it will be necessary to use 3rd party utilities as mentioned above.

Thanks for your responses; I hope you don't mind that I split the points evenly among you.  I suspected nView couldn't do it but am glad for confirmation.  Ultramon looks nifty, but it's not important enough to pony up the $$ just now.  The free Multimon app looks cool, but it doesn't address this issue. And Be_Srq (Sarasota?), that's wild about non-full-screen windows working--I tried it and you're right--but it's not exactly a more convenient workaround ;-)
