  • The Feedback of the Community

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. FTA Free To Air, newbie questions...

I've just heard of this "FTA" Free To Air.  I live in Canada, and i would like to give it a try, but before i jump into this world, i need some informations.

I'm looking to get some french channels like TVA, TQS, SRC, RDS, ZTELE, MYSTERE, SERIE+, CANAL VIE, CANAL D, TELETOON, and 2 specific english channels: DISCOVERY & SPACE.
I've heard of Satellite 82W and 91W to get theses channels, but ...

- I've heard of the NFusion receiver with auto-updates channels thru ethernet.  Is it legal?  
- Is there any cost for updates?
- I've seen many forums speaking of hiding your IP... if its legal, why would i have to do that?
- Will i get the listed channels above freely or i do have to hack the things to get them and therefore, get into trouble someday?
