imho, depending on the intended locale of your website, whitehand.com may or may not convey your intended message. when i hear whitehand.com, i do not think of helping the sick/poor. however, if you can attribute a meaning to it that users will remember, a simple, easy to remember name such as whitehand may be what you are looking for.
btw, I don't particularly like whitehand.com
If it is a specific reference, it is not one that I know.
Unfortunately, its first impression reminds me of the "white hero complex". The complex represents a current American racism issue of the white privilaged 'saving' the unfortunate minorities from their circumstances. It perpetuates covert issues of white supremacy.
I am not indicating that is your intention, nor the meaning of the name, but it leaves a slightly bitter taste in my mouth.
I hope that doesn't offend you, I just woudn't want the name to offend others.
