Authencity of the Bible - discuss.

Hi - as an extension of another current thread dealing with what appears as inconsistent sections of the Bible - I would like to make a thread that allows for reasons as a whole that led you to believe the Bible is authentic. You can use the Bible itself, science, secular resources, history, archelogy, prophecy or events in the Bible you consider harmonious or anything else you think is a good reference.

If you have something you feel is an contradiction that you would actually like an explanation of someone who has an understanding of the history or the scriptures context, I would be happy to sponsor to my ability having such questions posted.

I would prefer not to just have references of somebody's random opinion on the internet though - please if at all possible look up the contradictions you are claiming or refuting yourself so we can discuss them in a more though manner.

I would be happy to add in more points as the thread merits it to the best of my point giving ability. :)
