How can we prove God doesn't exist?

Is there scientific(or otherwise) evidence to show God doesn't exist?

Is reason and logic enough to ASSUME God doesn't exist?

[ I am interested to see how people apply their logic to the flip side, as the onus is _usually_ placed on the 'believers' to convice the 'non-believers'.]
