  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Finding memes that reduce empathy.

EXPLANATION:

I think some ways of thinking are more conductive to 'being a worthwhile human beeing' than others. Below I have listed some phrases or ideas that appear to have the effect of diminishing respect for and empathy with other people.

They are mostly taken from western culture, not because that is the only place such occur, but because that is the common language in this forum and they are those I know best (Apart from danish ones that few here would understand)

1) "do whatever it takes"
2) "dont take no for an answer"
3) "be a real gogetter"
4) "it's dog eat dog"
5) "cry all the way to the bank"
6) "willing to make hard decisions"
7) "look out for nr 1"
8) John Wayne & Rambo
9) "do unto others before they do unto you"
10) "It's a jungle out there"

I WANT:

more candidates for the list (please continue the numbering so they can be adressed)
discussion/refutation/saving graces on each candidate

FINAL QUESTION:

Should such 'bad memes' be actively opposed (In the same way that "the end justify the means" currently is) or just ignored.
