Christianity ?

This question is about defining christianity, but limited in scope, at least initially, to a Newsweek magazine article. I dunno why it caught my eye, but as I paid the newsstand price, I've the right to the text to just ask about it.

So for christians, I ask if you would kindly support or refute any of the text within the article, as best you can.

For others, I ask if you would either agree that your concept of christianity is supported by something in the article, if so, what. And.. if it contains something about christianity you are unfamiliar with, to ask the others if the text does indeed reflect their belief.
