The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

What is a god without followers?

This is most certainly a hypothetical one, but:

Imagine that overnight everyone lost their faith in the existence of a god, and religions disappeared (maybe that all religious texts were discredited - it doesn't really matter about that though, for imagining this scenario).  

We still have laws, and intrinsically know the difference between good and bad, but they would no longer be enforced under the name of a god (i.e. you wouldn't be swearing an oath by the bible in a court of law, for instance).  Political differences and disputes could no longer have the blame attributed to religious beliefs.

Obviously if there is a god, then their existence wouldn't be effected by whether anyone believed they existed or not, but what would be the purpose of a god with no believers?  Would this god need to send everyone to hell for not believing?  Would this god need to create miracles to force people to worship it again?  Might it just get bored of its fruitless creation and move on?

What would change with our lives on our end?  Would it be better, or worse, or just the same?

What of the gods that no longer have followers?  Are they just failed gods, or interpretations of the same thing? some are listed here http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/names/gods.htm
