To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. What happened after the great flood?

Hi,

I'm trying very hard to believe in god.. but I've got so many questions about it all.. I wasn't bought up into a very religious family, and have never attended church - so my knowledge is limited.

I'm not here to try and disprove anything - I merely want you lot to set some things straight for me..

For now:

After god flooded the earth (as is suggested in more than just 1 religion), what happened? There was only 2 of every animal left, right? In which case, for the human race (and all of the other species) to expand all over the globe, to the size it is now.. within 4000 years (was it about 4000 years ago?) - seems rather impossible..

How would you explain the way that just 2 humans could survive, and expand to over 6.2 billion people, in about 4000 years?

Also, after the earth was flooded, surely all crops were killed - and the only animals left on earth were those that were on Noah's ark (which I'm sure that Noah wasn't going to eat) - so, what was their source of food?
