There's this saying of: "Don't Steal"
Can it be, that there's stealing, then again, there's stealing?
Take, for example, the need to supply loved ones with sustenance, and the need to supply loved ones (self?) with a supply of items to improve lifestyle to one having more equity with others.
Is there a difference? If so, where's the line drawn?
Take a look from the other side, that of giving. There's giving, then again, there's giving.
Consider that there is a difference between perishables and non-perishables, isn't there? Such that, if ignored, they will lose all value, deteriorate and rot. Better to give away? Who is to decide, considering owner may be absent?
What about guidance, such as, for a "Do not break into a store and steal a plasma TV set"? If everyone else is doing it, why not? Why be the only one left out?
For non-perishables there can also be a difference?
Compare, a litre or two of water, versus a shotgun and shells
Is there a difference for either of those? If so, where do lines get drawn to distinguish differences?
There's this saying of: "Don't Kill"
Can it be, that there's killing, then again, there's killing - applied to the issue(s) of stealing?
This can be very serious business indeed.
In a recent thread on karma, some mention was made of Hindu being nearly assertive about not helping those nearby who may be in need, whereas the western christians are nearly overwhelmingly giving to needy both nearby and afar.
So in the bible belt of the west, there's a little rainfall, and then, what? Some shortage of care for those nearby who are in need?
Can it be, that there are christians, then again, there are christians?
This seems to lead towards a lack of clarity about what is going on, what is what and who is who, does it not? So where this seems to lead to some confusing state, any help sorting this out will be appreciated.
Would our time be better spent just ignoring this all, and switching the channel on the telly?
The other thread also continued, with a suggestion that, not acting (to help) is also an action that can attribute to problems. Think so?
