I have some questions relating to the Christian definition of 'god'.

Purported quotes from 'God' seem to imply that there are other gods beside Yahweh.
- "you shall have no other gods before me."
- "I the Lord your God am a jealous God"

There are many quotes like this. They seem to directly imply that there are other gods. Otherwise, it seems logical that the quote would read something like: "I am the only god and you shall not invent false ones"

Or how about this:
Deut 11:26. " Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: 27. "the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today; 28. "and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known. NKJV

It sure sounds like something Shiva or Apollo might say to their specific set of followers. "I'm Shiva -- YOUR god. Don't even think of bowing down before Vishnu"

Or how about:
You shall not make for yourself an image, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. -- Exodus

It seems to imply that there are others who aren't to be worshiped but that have images. By the way, doesn't this imply that angel statues are quite bad?

What is the definition of 'god' such that there is only a single one.

Obviously you can define anything arbitrarily. You could define the word "Foo" to mean 'all elm trees in Canada'. Is this the definition of the Christian God? Is the word "God" defined to be the set of the following three gods: Father, Son, HS.

The paraphrased quote "Father, why have you abandoned me?" seems to disqualify any intuitive definition. A single being would tend to maintain the same knowledge and cognition and physical locality but the quote implies that isn't true here.
