  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Discussion: The Deeper Understanding/Meaning of Holy Book(s)

Alot of times religions and religious people have accused Atheist(Other Faiths) of reading their Holy Books and not understanding them and not having the deeper meaning of what it actually means.

On top of that taking verse out of context from the books and misrepresenting their God, Prophets etc..

What I want to asking people (Religious mostly)

1. What do you(Muslim, Jew, Christian etc..) Understand by 'The Deeper Meaning/Understanding in the Holy Books'?

2. Why do you think that you are the Only ones who might have a better Understanding at your Own Holy Books rather then others who are not of your faith?

3. Why do you think there ever was a need for God(s) to put a deeper meaning in the Holy Book(s)?

4. How would one reach a higher understanding or even the Ultimate Understanding?

5. Are there things in the Holy Books beyond ones understanding?

I will give you an example:

In the Quran there is a verse in which Allah says that in his Books their are 'Verses that are easy to understand and some are difficult to understand but people who have a greater understanding will understand them'..

In Shi'ism (Sect of Islam), they Believe that their 12 Imams are the Only ones who have the Ultimate understanding of the Quran. Also Most Muslims believe that there are different Levels of Understanding in the Quran. Something alongs the lines of Basic to Advance understanding.
