the phrase "I sing the body electric" is used in several places:

Walt Whitman:  an ode to the flesh

It it hard to imagine that Bradbury was unaware of Whitmans use of the phrase.
Or that De Silwa did not know both his predecessors.

Yet the meaning given to the phrase appear entirely different for each author.
