Hello,
I'm very surprised that the new movie from Ben Stein, called "Expelled" is not making the rounds on the talk-shows and generating controversy. Check it out here

This movie exposes the academic bias in our educational system against anyone that dares to question the orthodoxy of traditional Darwinism. I hope it succeeds, because many of us have known this for years and feel it's high time that this type of narrow-mindedness is exposed for what it is. I don't think that Stein has any illusions that exposing this hyper-conformity on the part of Darwinists will prove God exists or anything like that (although curiously most Darwinian atheists seem convinced that abuses in the name of religion prove that God does NOT exist). What the movie WILL prove, if it contains what I expect, is the following:
1) Our academic community has failed for decades to present an objective, scientific attempt at answering the question of human origin. This failure exists largely to ensure a power structure that exists for its own sake and has no room for dissenting opinion or research.
2) Many scientists, no matter how qualified, have suffered black-listing, discrimination, and prejudice for even suggesting that other scientific theories (Intelligent Design, for example) are worthy of empirical consideration.
3) The scientific establishment "wins" the argument with their challengers through sheer intimidation, rarely if ever appealing to scientific evidence or to the scientific method. Those touting themselves the most scientific actually behave the least scientifically.
4) Younger scientists forced for prop up the charade of traditional Darwinism know that it's a sham, but are afraid to come forward with their knowledge for fear of personal and professional ruin.
I know it sounds far-fetched in some ways because of our conditioning. I too am a spawn of the public school system and was indoctrinated into the fantasy of Darwinian evolution at the sheer threat of being considered "stupid" or "ignorant". Once I challenged the theory, I realized that few people believe the theory for any better reason but to avoid the same label (or other reasons equally removed from scientific consideration). Over time, I have become accustomed to the fact that we've all been had in a major way.
This movie will be pretty disturbing to some of you who are still convinced that our educational system has sublime motives in its approach to metaphysical questions, the origin of mankind in particular . I can recall at least one conversation on this site where the person I was debating demanded an example of this kind of academic bullying. I gave her one. This movie will probably produce an overwhelming number examples and cases. The illusion that Darwinian scientists and academics are objective, benevolent, father-figures in white lab coats who only seek the benefit of mankind will be shattered for anyone willing to pull his fingers out of his hears or takes her hands off her eyes.
It will be interesting to see the response of some of you. Many of you I've encountered here brashly claim to be the sole harbingers of empiricism, and yet when evidence presents itself, you mock, change the subject, rage, scoff, deflect and rant, all the while maintaining that all you want is a little evidence. You want evidence? You got it. This movie will likely provide overwhelming proof that one of the pillars of atheism is a laughable ruse; that we can trust the current mob ruling the scientific community to tell us the scientific truth about the religion of Darwinism.
April 18th in theaters everywhere.
