The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Iraq, 9/11, anti-gay discrimination, global warming . . . is religion the root cause?

There are people who claim that the earth is 6000 years old and point to the Bible as proof. And there are people who say a flood covered the earth at some point in the past and point to the Bible as proof. And there are people who say that [SIC] Iraq, 9/11, anti-gay discrimination, even global warming owe their destructive aspects to religion. I have friends and acquaintances who say that my Christian faith is based on false assumptions. Yet, they stop short of making the claim that "religion" is the antithesis of what it claims. I'm not asking if bobsiemens is crazy, I think the answer to a dopey question like that is self-evident. I am curious however about others who view "religion" as destructive.

I have set religion in quotation marks because I think on this forum often it's intended as synonymous with hypocrisy, narrow mindedness, intolerance and judgementalism. I believe that hypocrisy, narrow mindedness, intolerance and judgementalism are clearly the cause of the strife in Iraq, the tragedy of 9/11, and anti-gay discrimination. I believe that Al Gore, however, is singularly responsible for global warming (and I believe in global warming  . . . this morning the temperature was 75 degrees and about an hour ago it was 95 degrees which proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that by late December of this year the surface temperature of the earth will be near fusion temperature.)Start Free Trial
