Can science alone replace God?

A question for our resident atheists...

Being a Christian, it's hard for me to imagine someone looking at what we know about the universe, our Earth, life, etc. and coming to the conclusion that there is no God needed to explain how this all came about.

Not using any other conclusions you may have been led to believe about a "God" (Bible, Christians, starving children in Africa), just using the world we have in front of us, as documented by science. How have you reached your conclusion that there isn't a God?
