The Paranormal

This has been rolling around in my head for quite some time now and am curious to what others think on the subject.

There are thousands, perhaps millions, of reports of people claiming to experience activities of the paranormal. I'm talking about ghosts, poltergeists, hauntings, psychics, even demon possession (this alone could be a seperate thread). With shows like Ghost Hunters and Paranormal State bringing these experiences more out into the open, could it be possible, even plausible, to think that there is something supernatural occurring here? While I don't judge these shows to be the experts in this field, its hard to deny some of the footage they've captured.

So what do you all think, could there be supernatural forces at work here on Earth, or is there a rational explanation for every single report ever made? Could there be religious implications if it was ever proved that supernatural forces do exist?

I'll be out of town this weekend, starting tomorrow, so I hope to participate more on Monday.
